🚨 XINJIANG COTTON FIELDS NEAR OCTOBER HARVEST Fields in Awati county were nearly ready for the October harvest. Technician Yusup Molamaiti, 36, recalled manually planting and harvesting 37 mu of scattered plots. He said planting a single mu took up to three hours with two people laying plastic film by hand. He said harvesting would lock his family into year-round labour and yield just 250-300kg per mu. Source: South China Morning Post #US #Xinjiang #cotton #sanctions
